Description
Here lord Vishnu is depicted in his terrible form Narsimha, which means half lion half human, which he undertook in order to defeat the demon king Hiranyakashyapu and protect his devotee Prahalad. Narsimha here is portrayed having a small kid on his lap. His two arms equipped with sankha(conch) and chakra(sudarshan). His legs crossed and his other two arms resting upon his knees. Over his head is the Sesha nag who is the serpent over which lord Vishnu lies down. The fierce look on the face of the lord depicts his anger and disgust towards the evils, which harm his devotees.
