Description
In this statue lord Jagannath’s face is placed over a wooden platform and is sculpted in a form of sun, having a circular face with rays emitting from it. The Lord is said to be the ninth incarnation of lord Vishnu the supreme protector and preserver of universe, who takes form in every yuga to eliminate the evil and establish Righteousness. He originated in Puri but is worshipped throughout the world as the master of the universe. He is worshipped in the form of “Daru Brahma”, daru means wood or timber and Brahma means the unseen soul. Bring the “Nila Madhava” which means the dark coloured Vishnu, home to stay close to the Vishnu, Shakti and Shiva.
