Description
Lord Ganesha is the older son of lord Shiva and goddess Parvati, he is the embodiment of knowledge, music and art. He is always depicted with his huge elephant head and a chubby human body which represents the power of the Supreme Being that removes obstacles and ensures success in human endeavors. In this statue the lord is presented sitting on a lotus with his four arms bearing a mace, a noose, his broken tusk and a bowl of sweets. He has one leg folded and other pointing towards the ground. His trunk faces towards the right, and his body is adorned with jewels and accessories. A snake is tied around his waist and has his tiny mount near his feet.
