Bibhishan was the younger brother of the demon king Ravana and himself became the king of Lanka after the demise of Dasanana Ravana. Though a Rakshasa himself, Bibhishana was of a noble character and a pure soul. From his early childhood, he spent all his time meditating on the name of the Lord and for his lifetime followed the path of truth and righteousness. Bibhishana’s devotion to Shri Rama even being a demon is a great example that it is not necessary to be born as human or deva to worship the lord. Bibhishana had a pure mind and a sattvic heart.
